Your best bet their is probably a "Russian" close end fund. I don't know much about these, but Russia has been so decimated, it must be a "bargain". selected Turkish companies might also be interesting since they have already gone through the "wringer".

Joy,

You can search this site for CEF's: (go to the upper right hand column and there is a search selection)

cefa.com

Templeton is a place to start with emerging markets. Maybe someone on this thread and give you another company that does well with emerging markets.

Jay: Mr. Grantham states that small-cap value (U.S.), has another 30-40 percentage points to run. I could not agree more. You asked for a fund. A favorite of mine is BPSIX. They have returned around 41% YTD and about 45% for year 2000. Not too shabby. Below is the SI link to the fund's overall YTD and historical returns.

Also, I do not consider their portfolio holdings risky.

Below is Morningstar's review and risk assessment of the portfolio.

For a long-term land play (and timber, I think) look at JOE. I did well playing various calls from 19-29, now waiting for a pullback to re-enter. It's a valuehound favorite.
