Although MMs may use the reserve feature on ECNs more than before That was really my main point. The original post kind of implied that ecn'c belonged to daytraders and not market makers "ECN's now have an advantage that even MM's don't currently have". I think it is the MM's that are mainly using reserve size on the ecn's. But some platforms do not allow ordinary retail traders to use this feature. You have to also remember that Island hidden orders can be traded through since they are not part of the Nazdaq best bid or offer. Oz
