Hi CB,
>I don't think it's surprising that kids keep getting smarter
or maybe just more tech savvy?...not the same thing. Knowledge and smart are not the same and are only useful when developed together. Children need to be taught/encouraged to 'think'.

I agree on the other stuff though.
We read from the beginning, VERY important. The alphabet... fridge magnet letters worked better for us as neither of my kids care much for TV (YAHOO!!).

The 'RICH' environment IS pushing them, ... naturally though :o)

Maurice's point about those that (a long while back) 'get it' and those that don't is very important. As always, those who get it will usually be those who can think and have vision. These abilities / gifts are naturally bestowed but can be enhanced or wasted at a parents prerogative. It now appears that this enhancement is of paramount importance.

regards
Kastel
