Is this another excuse for big oil to screw us consumers again ? biz.yahoo.com

"Barry's new path ran through the eastern Gulf of Mexico, where there is currently no offshore energy production but where a controversial oil and gas lease sale, opposed by Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, is due to be held in December.

Oil and gas production is concentrated in the central and -- to a lesser extent -- western sections of the Gulf.

Shell and Chevron evacuated a combined total of 2,700 workers from offshore production platforms in an operation that began on Thursday when Barry formed off Florida's western coast and appeared to be on a crash course for southeast Louisiana.

Chevron said on Sunday it was implementing a hurricane plan at its 295,000 barrel-per-day oil refinery in Pascagoula, Mississippi, which was at the western limit of a hurricane warning issued by the National Hurricane Center.

``We have a hurricane procedure that we're following and I'm not going to comment beyond that,'' said spokesman Steve Renfroe."

To follow up on the post from Sunday showing volume and price correlation on the compx and the expectation of 5-6 days of weakness from the 8/2 high....we are now day 4 of lower lows and lower highs....
On the plus side, we are now nearing another turn:
home.earthlink.net
Note how the volume ebb has subsided and new volume peak is under way. Price will change direction as the rising volume peaks and ebbs once again. Looks like a matter of days.
Hope y'all too this seriously and held off from the long side
as the expected down action accelerated up to now....
Please note that the volume/price correlation is NOT an EXACT
correlation but does an amazing job of warning within an acceptable time-frame of imminent turning points.
Best regards,
Eichler
