The greatest bloopers my side of the mirror happened always when I missed (on a GRAND scale) the context. So my irony (or well-intended sarcasm) was just a part of my defense mechanism: Primum nil nocere, right?

It's closing on 10PM here and I dont want to disect a great mail. I have just a simple suggestion regarding Germany, Italy bla bla bla ...: catch a plane and come see the places(while the dollar still holds out ...), I am just flabbergasted at the level of knowledge a simple out-of-Home-depot couch can impart on some people (Those who never went anywhere, top the list)... I'm different. I've seen places, and let me tell you, every one of them made me humbler.

Re Lipizzaner - a short introduction: Lipa is a name of a tree (all across slavic languages - its the sacred tree for Slaves, as much as oak is for Germanic folk. Lipica is a SMALL (diminutive) Lindentree.

How come there's lipizzaner (zz just helps everyone gets his zz as in lipizza spoken out correct - we slaves spare ourselves one letter, so for us it's Lipica) so how come there's lipizzaner in Lipica? When Habsurgs succeeded to get inthroned in Spain (after Isabella died and Joan the Mad passed away etc etc) there was still a family tie between the Austrian and Spanish branch of the dynasty. So what do you send your nephews and distant cousins for a present? Right, send them some good-mannered horses.

Lipica is about 20 miles up from the sea (look up Trst/Trieste) on a wind-swept (beautiful, heart rendering) plane of Kras (Carst). That's where they spent the winter before moving on. And some of them stayed (g). Maestoso ... - they're just gorgeous.
