zeev, I thought you have said recently that tic trin readings with the manner in which 2100 was recently reached was distribution; so I am confused; do you think the last few months were accumulation?

how can you honestly compare this period to the greatest bull blowoff in history in 99? they aren't even in the same universe... during a bear market, when the VIX is low, its time to go, period.

Zeev, I admit June didn't fit the pattern for Max Pain. However, I believe this drifting, complacent, range-bound market could slide down agonizingly as the people pulling the strings try to prop up the market at all costs.

The range really plays into the hands of hedge funds and traders. I believe the pro's who are investing long are sitting this out until there is clarity. That means T/A may show some insight into how the range is being played, as many players (including us) look to it for their short-term trading cues.

I guess we'll listen to the market, as I've heard someone here say <G>, but it doesn't hurt playing the percentages, and Max Pain does seem to work about 80% of the time.
