Pacific Century CyberWorks Says No Nasdaq Listing Plans 09/02/99 HONG KONG, CHINA, 1999 SEP 2 (NB) -- By Martyn Williams, Newsbytes. Pacific Century CyberWorks Ltd. [HKSE:1186], the technology flagship of Richard Li's Pacific Century Group. (PCG) in which Intel Corp. [NASDAQ:INTC] also holds a major stake, today said it has no current plans for a listing on the Nasdaq market in New York.

Stock in the company has been bid up in recent days on rumors that the company is eyeing a listing on the Nasdaq market.

In a statement to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, the company said, "The Directors note that certain articles have appeared in certain newspapers on 1 and 2 September 1999 reporting that the company is arranging for the listing of its shares on Nasdaq of the United States. The Company confirms that it has no current plans to list its shares or shares in CyberWorks Ventures Limited, a subsidiary of the Company, on Nasdaq or the Growth Enterprise Market in Hong Kong."
