TILT! Haven't you been saying Communists are rightists? Now they're leftist? When did they switch? How'd they do it?

those in power get absolute power and absolute power corrupts absolutely, thus creating a very hard right
agenda usually

N. Vietnam was not a dictatorship? STOP THE PRESSES! Richie has news!

Look, even Hanoi's SUPPORTERS did not deny it was a dictatorship like every other Communist regime on the planet. You really need to work on your crap, richie. This stuff is ludicrous. You need more gymnastics practice, boy.

You think N. Vietnam was democratic? Did you notice what happened to all those Communist dictatorships in eastern Europe when the people finally really did get a say?

An unjust cause …
We had a Vietnamese Ph.D. student in the lab 2 years ago His parents escaped from Communists on the small boat
He was 3 years old at this time. They have been lost in the fog and have been rescued by Philippine fishermen several days after they ran out of food and water. His relatives perished in the labor camps.
An unjust cause…..

When on the party some American mention that they to their parents have been demonstrating against the war in Vietnam, I like too tell them that they are responsible to the mass killings in the Vietnamese labor camps. I am such a party pooper.

The U.S. erred in handing over Vietnam to the colonialist French after WW II. We could've helped develop Vietnam as an independent nation, but in retrospect, the U.S. had its hands full and appeared to have dropped the ball. The U.S. didn't invade Vietnam. After the French were kicked out, Vietnam was in a civil war in which external forces from U.S.S.R., China, and the U.S. were assisting the two sides. I remember seeing a program where the rebels asked the U.S. for assistance.
