I finally got around to re-looking at KSS. I don't find it that compelling. First of all, the sector is not one that I see as an easy target. The consumer will roll over, but he/she has not quite yet. Also, aren't they low-end merchandise? (We don't have any in Canada.) Folks might drift to the Wal-Marts of the world as they move away from the sorts of retailers that do well in euphoric times. Also, I don't think the count is very clean. Another one of these that's been in a large range forever. Yeah, it's got an H&S pattern, but it's been years forming and the timing would be hard. Still, it's built a little triangle here and looks ready to break out soon. I'd bail on any short notion if it got above $59 and short it here now that it's at the top. I find yesterday's volume surge a tad worrisome for a short. Cheers
