I disagree with you. I have DSL and everyone in my town has been clamoring for it - but the rollout is painfully slow.

I suspect that many more would want DSL if we could buy music and movies for download and save the cost of distribution. But it appears that middlemen and even the content providers are against that. The middlemen for obvious reasons and the content providers because they fear piracy.

Eventually it will come though.

It is a chicken/egg situation. People won't demand broadband until there are apps that need it, but who's going to supply the apps until there is a ready audience?
