Bush oil money cronies. gregpalast.com

And Condaleeza Rice was on the Board Of Chevron which Bush Sr. has a longstanding insider relationship with, not to mention the rest of them. Rice and George Schultz both have Chevron tankrs named after them. Schultz was the one who originally approached unemployed recovering alcoholic GW (quote from him at the time "I'm all name and no money") 10+ years ago offering him enormous funding for a political career if he would clean up his act then let them run him against Anne Richards. Schultz represents top-secret Bectel corporation host of Bohemian Grove (#1 most powerful right-wingers only club), huge oil and defence industry bigwigs, the richest and most rightwing factions, including Halliburton which bought Brown+Root, along with Bectel the architects of the Vietnam War. Also many CIA connections amongst the group. Plenty of alleged JFK assassination connections in this group too (though let's leave that out). Jim Baker the #2 most influential along with Bush Sr himself who's gotten ruthless in his old age.
Baker helped spearhead and profit from the gouging of California and doubled profits for his own energy company in the process. All these people are 100% unified, in collusion and have been investing in GW for many years to groom him for this moment in history when the oil business has two of their own running the White House. It's grab the public land + money time for sure, especially when they all realized making "Uncle Dick" the Veep (fellow keeper of the secrets and trusted expert political and defence/energy engineer crony) and letting him really run things could make the Bush White House basically a private club run by and staffed by 100% Texas and related insiders. No wonder Republican moderates rebeled. This is a tough ruthless greedy group who really believes that gouging us, totally plundering our environment, building huge new defence systems and trying to dominate-dominate-dominate is all the right thing to do. They are willing to use religion as a #1 tool (though none of them are really religious), use record amounts of soft money as carrots and sticks and I'm sure CIA tactics as well to attack enemies and mollify voter groups through blatant false advertising, aggressive spin doctoring and hide behind the flag posing. Actually Star Wars takes money OUT of the pockets of the average soldier so that's all phony posing as well being pro-military. They're more pro big military contracts (for their cronies only though) and they apparently miss the Cold War where they were all tactically trained. If you're in their private club and pay your dues (record amounts of soft money) they'll help make you richer. If you're not in their group they could care less about you, and that includes water, air, birds, fish, animals, forests and reefs as well. You are their followers and/or their victims.
Lieberman will investigate but they will have to be dragged kicking and screaming into court. They will ignore laws and refuse to hand over records like Nixon did. They will cheat, hide, cover-up, use off-shore accounts and payoffs. it doesn't have to be done through the White House the energyt companies can do it, becausae now they are all one and the same. This is a dangerously corrupt time in Washington and so far only Jeffords and public opinion has kept these plunderers partially at bay. Let's fight them everyone, let's let them know who's really boss. This land is OUR land not theirs. And so is our surplus they are in the midst of stealing all of. Or am I being too idealistic?
Have we reached an age where greed, corruption and lies are admirable?

Gas prices are going down, so why speculate on "if gas prices go up a dollar?"
