<<Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein’s Global Equity Strategist, Albert Edwards, said in a note today that revisions included with second quarter productivity numbers next week will revise away the “productivity miracle” of the last few years. He said, “Investing in the U.S. miracle will in retrospect be seen as a sick joke. The markets will be forced to confront this harsh reality on August 7… Make a date in your diary! The U.S. 'new paradigm' will then be officially revised away! The risks of an equity crash are high.” That was what you read on the Reuters wire story. In a German newspaper, he was quoted as calling for a crash to begin in the US stock market next week. Who knows whether he’s right or wrong, but it’s clear that more and more people are starting to see the risks involved in investing in the US stock market.>>

Did anyone come across the Japan buying BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of emerging market currenciy article yesterday? It was in my local paper but cant find it on the net. Given the action in China I doubt it is unsignificant. Lets not forget: currencies are the tell.
