Just back in....Dow blowing thru levels here...10,400 trying to be saved...

This could be a real ugly stick here on all, if we don't rally out today...kindof gives validity to the "is it/isn't it" Bearish Evening Doji Star Friday, eh? Glad to see that stink I saw Friday at the close wasn't my daughter's...well, you get picture <G>

5000? There aren't 5000 companies listed on the NYSE - the number is closer to 3000 (at least according to the NYSE web site nyse.com )! In fact, as of July 31, 2001, the number of common issues listed was 2597. And even if all listings are included, the number was 3543. So I have no idea what the 5000 means for the BPNYSE.

What we're thinking of doing is just putting in the NYSE Composite stocks - basically the list of common stocks that are trading on the NYSE for calculating our BPNYSE number. The reason we publish our list is so that users can figure out for themselves what we're using right now (and what we will be using once we have everything working again). Wish one of these other websites would actually say what they're doing too so users could compare (and for us to figure out what is wrong <g>).
