Whatever is being measured clearly SUNW is taking it seriously if they are moving into market-share-defense mode. The real question is what gets SUNW out of this mode? INTC earnings estimate cuts today are based on the belief that INTC is preparing to slash high-end microprocessor prices by 50% later this month with an additional 25% cut in October as they accelerate their drive to take market share. Pricing (and margin) pressure in this sector is brutal and relentless.
