I thought the NEC manager put it fairly clearly, they do not
have the base station, infra nor non-or-crashing,
after the fact still debuggable, OS experience, but are
learning fast as fast can.
(without getting into why Siemens isn't good enough
as a european partner for the european market??
probably not a german magazine claiming that??)

Ericsson too, "without handsets we are kind of lost", but
some day Sony will be our saviour, all those little
lost protruding antennas??

Obviously one can always outsource or spin off any
competetive cash flow disadvantage to the temporary
relief of shareholder values??

Luckily neither the finns nor the japanese believe in
the bliss of world dominance, so there will be some
survivors amidst the desperation??

But what about the belief in regular hype??

Ilmarinen

Well, me thinks it is the product of regular hype-media,
desperate for anything to hype, left outside the
mainstream of cash flow and hormonal and otherwise
free market cows??
