How long to you think it will be until these kids that have been building Athlon boxes get into the work force and start ordering AMD computers instead of Intel?
Kind of reminds me of what happened when business figured out they didn't need IBM products...

Cory:

"And judging by AMD's price the market seems sure that AMD can only sell what it produces at riduculous giveaway prices.....the Athlon is now a
couple years old and you still can't find one in any large business anywhere. This is not about to change because if it was.....it would have already...thus

You're missing the primary point...AMD's revenues and financials have improved dramatically over the past 2 years while INTC's financials continue to deteriorate at an alarming rate as evidenced by declining revenues over this period to the tune of about $7 billion or 25%...Very frightening scenario unfolding at this moment at INTC...Declining revenues, declining margins, declining market share and stiff competition on the horizon in the hitherto uncontested mobile and server/workstation spaces...and what's more a lame P4 as a flagship product...Ouch!!!
