"The Fountainhead" Ayn Rand (1943)

"On The Road" Jack Kerouac (1959)

"Waiting for Godot" Samuel Beckett (1954) [Yes, it's actually a play, but it makes a great novelette.]

"Fahrenheit 451" Ray Bradbury (1953)

"Jurassic Park" Michael Crichton (?1991?)

"Dune" Frank Herbert (?)

"Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" HST (1971)

This list is by no means exhaustive, but my first instinct was to name some of the many (fiction, even if autobiographic) books that I read in high school or college (and afterward) and list those which, for whatever reason, left an indelible impression upon me.
