nv, there is no doubt that the great volitility that happened during the bull market and bear market and big stock moves of the last couple of years, should be followed by a more calm moves and trading ranges,

thats one reason i don't see low vix as significantly bearish or bullish.

i read the sentiment on rydex and on SI as decidely BEARISH, i find it hard on most of these market trading threads to find anybody bullish.

that may not mean much because during the bull blow-off, there were hardly any bears around and it went higher for years, no doubt the bulls have the edge here, because the long term trend is up, and the shrinkage of bulls is more significant than the shrinkage of bears.

i think the pinch bands and the declining volume and that triangle on the dow i pointed out today is pointing to a move one way or the other fairly soon.

i'll post an nwx chart in the next post, that may not clear up anything -g-
