I believe he was using the word "Frankenstein" in a derogatory manor.

Like Frankenstein that was created from "parts" of other people, the Celerra has a NAS front-end
with a Symmetrix back-end. Even the new IP-4700 is Frankenstein-ish with its CrossStor system,
DataGeneral "stuff" with an EMC wrapper.

As to SAN/NAS sales: I think the question was does EMC sell a Celerra with Symmetrix attached
or IP-4700 as a NAS/SAN combination, book the revenue as NAS but the system really used
later as a SAN? I think Downsouth was choking on the hybrid NAS/SAN being booked as
NAS revenue but actually being used as SAN storage. [If downsouth comes out of his bear
market hibernation, he can answer this one himself].

In the end, who cares. Frankenstein or no Frankenstein, NTAP needs to sell systems and the
rest will take care of itself.
