Are you speaking about someone who holds a put or call option? Is this a specific class of put or call option with special rules? Where could I read up on these special requirements. If you are speaking about puts & calls on the QQQ's, or common stocks, you should know that is a totally baseless comment.

Is that a fact or an often repeated folk lore? What about the person on the other side of the trade? How can most people lose if someone is on the other side of the trade? Could you point me to factual data to support this claim?
