It was the headline on my today's paper: 40% of Californians don't use English at Home. The story mentions that it was a statistical survey and not an actual count. It excluded all group living quarters like prisons, dormitories, etc. It's an AP story that should be reachable at any AP story site. NYTimes, etc. My paper can't be reached now because the are preparing tomorrow mornings edition. It's a small town and the paper has computer publishing but not enough to let the world in while they're in process. Chas
