Oh major spew. Stop it.
There are all sorts of things that children MUST deal with even if they aren't ready. Children will never be completely ready to deal with a sexual predator, yet sexual predators are out there, so we must arm our children with knowledge.

Sex is out there. It always has been, but alas those bodies are maturing at an alarming rate these days. I wonder if Monsieur Le Brain Specialist has anything to say on that topic?

I see girls walking to middle school that look 20. They have HUGE breasts. These are girls with underdeveloped brains I am SURE- but the rest of them is quite developed. We could lock them up, but barring that what ARE we to do? No one (well maybe a few people here) wants to go back to the repressive 50's. So how do we go forward? I could see that this was the question you were posing in innumerable ways to He Who Must Be A Brain Expert. Obviously those who cannot actually use the brain go to conferences on it.

short of locking the kids up until their brains are fully formed

Their bodies are capable of parentage at, what? about 11 or 12 years of age? So locking them up is definitely the best solution. Education should not be started in ANY subjects until about 26 years of age. It is important to wait until the neuronal pathways are thoroughly developed before any attempts at arithmetic, reading, or riting are introduced. What would be the point in attempting to inform an imperfect mind? Even when the minds are fully developed, they will still only exhibit an average I.Q., so the whole exercise of attempting to teach our children in a progressive developmental basis is just silly. Wait till they are FULLY developed. Time enough then to hand them a spoon. Of course, the fact that the practice of thinking and deciding is itself an intrinsic process, essential to the flowering of mature reasoning--may be conveniently ignored. Time enough to give a plant water once it has matured fully.

What's obviously needed here is some kind of D.A.R.E. program for sex. Just say no, and all that, along with some good "Reefer Madness" style scare-mongering. Maybe they could even work in narcing on your parents for doing the evil deed.

Funny thing is, I think D.A.R.E. had to be reformulated this year. There's a legal requirement that drug education programs had to be show to work to some degree to get funding, and D.A.R.E. didn't pass the test. I'm sure W's "every sperm is sacred" buddies can be relied upon to make sure there's no similar requirement of efficacy for their junior anti-sex league programs, though.
