Canuck,

Great idea to while away the time while we wait for the markets to do something interesting.

"One Thursday lunchtime the Earth is unexpectedly demolished to make way for a new hyperspace bypass. For Arthur Dent, who has only just had his house demolished that morning, this seems already to be more than he can cope with. Sadly, however, the weekend has only just begun, and the galaxy is a very strange and startling place."

You guessed it. My vote Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. My weekend has just about ended, and my house still exists, but some good advice on the back of the guide will let me sleep at night in these markets:

DON'T PANIC

and I might add, have a pan-galactic gargle blaster.

regards, john
