it is not a question if it will hurt amd , it will. The point is that intel is acting against the "interests" of the shareholders

For a flat Q3-01, Intel assumed unit growth. If it doesn't get it or to a lesser degree than price declines, Intel will lose money. For a loss in Q3, AMD assumed continued price war, overall WW unit declines, in short a worst case scenario. Intel in that scenario, will have tremendous losses where even, the "pro Forma" number goes red.

I mentioned the rain (Intel) and drought (AMD) differences in assumptions after Q2 CCs. You must have missed that basis difference. Kudos to Intel's PR department to have you (with a lot of company) ignore that.
