ISM and U-NII rules allow unlimited antenna gain in professional installations, so 2 miles is easily achieved in the 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz unlicensed bands - scroll down to see the bridge antennas and ranges - cisco.com

The bridges run the same codebase as the access points, and support 802.1x
