Yes, I think you are right. They won't trade at a peg of one.

NO time in history? Have you looked back at previous bear markets in which people HATED stocks? No, I do not have any examples, but issuing such statements is foolish. There probably was a company that did such a thing.

But this valuation limits msft's upside. Their low growth rate will make sure that earnings don't buy it out of it's valuation for quite a while. I'll buy it if it trades lower for a trade and put long term cash to work in faster growers which someday will also see msft's problem of declining growth rate and high valuation.

Meanwhile, it remains in a trading range.
