What is typical of this bear market is that the imaginary recovery is always two quarters away! Why? Because the bullish folks can justify their buying on the grounds that the market is discounting a rebound six months in advance.

They were saying the same stuff during the bear-market rally from 3000 to 4200 last year too. The guy who bought that story at 3800-4000 got buried a few months ago, in April this year :-)
