There is another round of grey market dumping brewing on PriceWatch. I would not be surprised if Q3 and Q4 turn out much worse for PC chip and box makers than the WS thinks.

Remember that Intel does have a fallback position if the P4 push doesn't pan out, Tualatin. So it's not like they are burning all their bridges. I guess Intel is trying to get past the corporate attitude of "just say no" to the P4 by cutting off all alternatives. I know I would be concerned that my premier product only accounted for less than 10% of my unit sales almost a year after introduction...

You wouldn't with an ultra short term perspective. Let me give you a hint, .13u. Much lower cost, much higher capacity and much higher performance.
