However, none of this is to the point. We could examine research papers till the sheep masturbate themselves blind--and still be no further ahead. The good news is that we don't need to reach consensus on the issue, as it is irrelevant to your "God whistled a tune from an overflow of high spirits" theory. God, by your definition, is beyond space and time (as well as in it), and certainly beyond YOUR knowing.

I accept that many Gods can be imagined. The conceit that your imagination is superior to the imaginations of billions whom have imagined THOUSANDS of contrasting gods--well, thatis an example of hubris which I am unwilling to pander to. Your sense of self importance is perhaps less significant in the overall scheme of things than what you may imagine...

A god capable of everything could find meaning in nothing...
