Re: Do you know how much production AMD can farm out?

If people really don't like P4 boxes, for whatever reason, they'll just stuff a .13 "cool running" Via C3 into the socket 370 system they wanted in the first place.

By Q1, 2002, we could see VIA with 20% of the market, AMD with 30% of the market, and Intel with 50% of the market.

I guess that current production capacity is much higher than 30% (as per Jerry a while back). Lets say it is 35%. Moving to .13 would roughly double that (.18/.13)^2. Maybe amd can farm out 20% or so. 10% would be left for transmeta and such
We'll have to delay flash at fab25 though but I doubt that anyone would complain
:-))

ps intel on another hand is moving toward 500% of market demand. Someone forgot to tell barrett that it is hard to sell more than 100%
