Mindmeld: If you don't believe me, I have a 200Mhz computer with 80Meg of hard drive I'd like to sell you for $1,000. :)

LOL! I'll use meself as an example. I "just" bought (5 months ago) a fancy smancy 1Ghz Dell machine. Now they're up to 1.8Ghz with more to come quickly what with AMD & INTL saber-rattling over a chip war and market share!?! Jeeezus......

But this does provoke an interesting thought. At what point does it become too much? That is, given the sheer use of the machine by the vast majority when does CPU cycles top out a la car engine fashion? Does having a whoosh gee whiz machine eventually become the equivalent of having a car in your driveway with an F-11 fighter aircraft engine under the hood? That is, completely unnecessary?

Who know! But as for me.....I'm a firm believer in the bigger bucket syndrome. Bigger bucket syndrome? Yup....give me a bigger bucket (PC and related toys), and I'll fill it! ;-)
