JF Stinkenstuff thinks bombers are noble warriors, and grunts are traitors. Sort of like saying commies are just as good as republicans, IMO. Not that I am dissing any brave military person, but I don't think I could be a bomber. Put me on the ground where I can fight eye to eye and hand to hand.

"Tell all those folks we bombed that it was a humanitarian mission. Hell we killed more people with bombs than they did."

I don't think it was even close, but if you find the data, please forward it. Do you feel the same way about Vietnam? More than a million Vietnamese died in that war...

"We have routinely stood by and let far worse happen. Why did we find it necessary to act in Bosnia."

I agree....in Rwanda for example, but then they weren't white folks were they? We acted because public and world pressure demanded it....and I'm glad we did.... I'm also glad we went to Somalia and I applaud Bush Sr. for that even though it ultimately ended in disaster.

" I do not think true Christians would bomb innocent civilians."

Oh please.... Did we only send non-Christians to fire bomb Japanese and German cities.....did you know that 83,000 people died the first night Tokyo was firebombed or about twice as many who died in Hiroshima. By the time the A-bomb was dropped the firebombing campaign was targeting secondary cities since all the primaries were destroyed. Were those B-52's that carpet bombed Vietnam and Cambodia only manned by non-Christians?

I don't see how anyone can claim that the Bosnia operation was a humanitarian enterprise. It's inexplicable why there was so little protest from the peaceniks. The mission was so unclear that the military should have protested more.

"Bosnia....we are in Bosnia because it was and is a humanitarian mission, ie we went to stop and prevent genocide and ethnic cleansing."

Tell all those folks we bombed that it was a humanitarian mission. Hell we killed more people with bombs than they did.

We have routinely stood by and let far worse happen. Why did we find it necessary to act in Bosn
