>>...allow ourselves to learn from the "superior" group as to why they are better at a particular thing<<

I met years ago (Larry Wilson learning) with the following interesting observation of some aspects of us all: classifying us all in competents vs incompetents on one side and into conscious and inconscious on the other side:

inconscious incompetents: in principle a rather happy lot.

inconscious competents: they're good at doing it and say "it's just natural to me, I guess I must be a genius"

conscious incompetents: say 'I know I'm not doing it right but I'm ready to learn more about myself and about the ways I can improve from others', for instance from

conscious competents: not only have they gotten it right, they even know why they are good.

Don't be perplexed. Some people are lumpers (like to take broad overviews), some are splitters (like to look at particulars). I am a splitter.

Here is a joke:

Definition of heaven: German engineers, Irish cops, and French chefs.

Definiton of hell: French engineers, Irish chefs, and German cops.

<I'm a little perplexed at your sensitivity to what you consider even a "whiff" of prejudice and/or stereotyping.>

That too is simply something that IS, neither good nor evil... perhaps just another symbol to learn from?
