Brian, Enough already, Paul is not abiding by SI's TOU, it is just that the complaints are made to the local moderator and not to Si in this case.

lets get back to brass tacks.

The inquirer points to this interesting situation where the Athlon beats the Xeon in multiple processors, with the xeon at 1700 and the Athlon at 1200.
This means that the xeon's reign is imperiled.

Mani is just taking his frustrations indirectly out on you because others are being unfair. Pay it no mind.

Thankfully, this is not such a thread. 50% of the most recently banned people are AMD zealots. Both of the most recently banned people were banned for repeated name calling and goading or insults.

Not everybody who uses SI can use the ignore function. Most readers cannot. Still, there are those that would like to see the intelligent posts of readers and not their baby talk. The suspensions, while regrettable, just might (maybe, maybe not) act as a deterrent that will cause people with dissenting opinions and people with assenting opinions to make their opinions without acting like children.

There are two threads for AMD discussion. One of them is for people to be a pain, while the other is not. So people have a choice of which one they want to visit. It's like having a smoking and a non smoking section of the diner, or a loud swearing and a non loud swearing section of the movie theatre. This here is a thread specifically for the people who wanted to avoid abusive posters and flame wars. If you want flame wars, there is still a thread devoted to that.

Them's fightin' words, pardner. <g>

This thread does not operate like a dictatorship at all. People are very seldom suspended. When they are suspended, it is *never* because of dissenting opinions. IT IS NEVER BECAUSE OF DISSENTING OPINIONS. People on both "sides" have been suspended. This is NOT an "affirmation-only" thread. I can name you a dozen people off the top of my head that are incredibly welcome here yet consistently post pessimistic outlooks on AMD and complain about AMD's crappy management. One such AMD bear is Mani Ahmadi, the moderator of this thread. I cannot imagine why you think that the moderator of this thread, who is bearish on AMD, would have a secret agenda against people bearish on AMD.
