Peter, I would not go so far as to say 50%, except possibly in the SD shop segment.
But with $$ share growing and ASP falling the numbers shipped must indeed increase.
Now the 1200 AMD server parts easily beats the 1700 Mhz Xeon,
no wonder Intel is in a panic.

That is unit-wise. Revenue-wise, AMD is half that, as Intel's reputation and marketing skills gets them something like a 100% pricing premium on the average.

In certain submarkets, AMD attains 50%. For example, sometimes, AMD gets 50% of the US retail market (not currently).

PS: The unit share may actually be more like 21.5%, though.
