Stomper, i disagree with you, channel trading can be very profitable. You cannot look at just one transaction that did not bring much, you should look at the statistics in general, when a channel keeps going up, profits accumulate, here and there the channel will turn against you and you take a minor loss or gain, but if you work the channels consistently and keep out of turning channels with stop losses, you can do quite fine. Larry brought in a 10% on QLGC channel just in few days, 10%/week can be quite an achievement (g), even if it worked on only 50% of the trades and the other 50% were even or minor losses. The big gains are made when the channel persists for a long time and you stay with those stocks.

Well, one example does not a rule make, not to mention that Larry was operating under a huge handicap; just read the exchange he had with me late yesterday afternoon. I do agree with Zeev however, some anticipation is necessary in the current market, and might add that one can not be too dogmatic about any particular technique these days.
