Only Republicans cared because they couldn't find anything else to criticize Clinton about. They still act like there was some big scandal. It's nothing compared to Bush's energy gougings or Watergate or Irangate. The CLintons were cleared of all trumped up Whitewater charges. All Starr could find for 100 million of our money (what a waste!) and 3 years work was a little nooky on the side. In case you don't realize the Clinton's haven't had a sexual marriage in a long time, since they nearly divorced many years ago. But unlike Dole and Reagan he didn't divorce but stayed together as more of a partnership, and for the kid. Not a perfect guy, flawed for sure, but an amazingly excellent president as all the numbers show and a true world leader who inspired billions, not just a few special interests and party hacks. The GOP is just madly jealous. They had a much better man in McCain but let big money bowl them over. Bush is a selfish nitwit front-man by comparison, and he has his flaws in the personal area too. The alcoholism alone is pretty big. Just think, he was a hard nasty problem drinker for 15 years (abusive when loaded) and slacked off the whole time. Never even traveled and tried to learn about the world. No career really whatsoever unless you count losing 300 million in Harkness Oil. Until Daddy's friends offered him some sweetheart deals then he was off to the races. Never earned it, never really worked for it but did quit drinking. At least we can hand him that.
