John, thanks. Here's how advertising would raise ASP's:
Not immediately, as your example of trying to demand more from an OEM illustrates -- they'll just say, NO.
But at the end of the quarter, with three weeks left, if AMD spends some money wisely on marketing, they'll only have 2.5 million CPU's to sell, instead of 3.5 million, because sales rates were higher during the quarter. So they would have to drop the price less, perhaps selling at an average price of $70 intead of $60.

September is a little late to have much effect on this quarter though. (except expenses :0( )
