I think they put these morals in their movies a) because they believe them personally, b) because they think America would be better off if it adopted their morals, and c) because seeing them on the screen and having millions of people pay good money to see them validates that their morals are okay.

Where sex is concerned, possibly. I don't think that movie people approve of violence any more than the average American. Certainly they wouldn't want any directed at them.

If movies about Platonic relationships and couples remaining celibate until marriage started raking in the box office vote, we'd see a lot more of them, regardless of what the individuals in the industry thought of the message. Don't hold your breath.
