Eric, i dont do short term cc or sell puts. Both makes sense in sideways market. Frankly, people always say doing short term cc is most conservative, I feel quite the opposite. I rather buy long calls and loose the premium then to see major decline. While i may do some cc , selling puts i have only done once in my life just cuz I am so afraid to do, i tried once w. PFE. As part of my asset allocation if certain stocks exceed tolerable levels then I will build collars w leaps in hopes to get rid of some of the shares over next few years. I see u followed BB's mrkt timer and I am a subcriber. I allowed sunw to buld up to lot more then what was the upper limit allowed by BB. So I had done lots of long term CC which i have bot bak now and repossed full ownership of the stock. The long puts still open (over a year old now), but I m building long stocks against that position. Trading the stock in ira or kids acts.
