One of Cisco's main competitors in the Internet router space, Juniper Networks (JNPR), wasted no time in claiming a solid position in the market, while also trying avoid getting pulled into a sparring match over market share numbers. On Wednesday, Juniper CEO Scott Kriens said at a technology conference in Boston that Juniper was continuing to win customers, including France Telecom (FTE), but would not address claims by Chambers that Cisco was taking market share away from its smaller competitor.
