If , as rumoredm GS has more than a passing interest in the gold market might not any pressure on their stock price also ???

Goldman files to sell 6.1 mln shares of stock
NEW YORK, Aug 8 (Reuters) - Goldman Sachs Group Inc.(NYSE:GS - news), one of Wall Street's premier investment banks, said on Wednesday it filed documents to sell 6.1 million shares of common stock currently owned by a Japanese bank.

Goldman officials were not immediately available to comment on the move.

New York-based Goldman said it filed a shelf registration statement with the regulators for the potential sale of 6.1 million shares of common stock owned by SMBC Capital Markets Inc.(cont)
