I don't see how they can lose their marketing commitment. It's cheaper to market them than to produce The Practice. As for their longevity in the face of a decrease in freshness, we have World Wide Wrestling as a model of fan commitment.

I am hoping for a glut of these reality shows.

The term reality show is, of course, a complete misnomer. This not reality, it is merely impromptu theatre by untrained actors under challenging circumstances. As to reality, it's no more real than a Hollywood stage set, IMO.
