I watched the show on Hattie. I thought it was well done, but it would have been nice to hear more about her personal life and her thoughts. It was like they were talking about a historical figure rather than someone who lived in our time. You'd think there would be someone still alive who knew her.

I thought she got a really raw deal. Too bad she wasn't born a generation later.

You cable wimps. We don't even have the option of cable out here in the boonies. I get two Canadian channels fairly well, NBC usually, ABC when the sun isn't going down, CBS about 50% of the time, but only 10%of the time without serious snow, PBS only when the atmospherics are perfect, which is maybe once a year, and Fox never.. So we watch a total of -- well, so far this summer it's been zero. But during football season, I watch a few hours each weekend if the games are on channels I can get, which is less and less since Fox got into the picture.

Guess what -- I'm living proof that it IS possible to live without TV!

I stay up all night watching foreign movies and reading. I wish I were early to bed, but I can only say I am early to rise. So I doubt I am a Yankee.
