A classic line from Rick Schottenfeld, the guest host on CNBC this morning.

After being shot down for his mixed metaphor, "When you try to catch a falling knife, you get your fingers burned" [rather than cut], he quipped,

"What I was trying to say was that when you try to pick bottoms, you normally end up with smelly fingers!"

At which time CNBC took a commercial break...

A true Cashinism from Charlsie Cantie NBC colour commentator during the Preakness broadcast saying that the D Wayne Lukas trained colt, Going Wild would definitely be able to get the distance:

When Ron Insana commented to Art Cashin that the market is a little quiet today, Art's response was another classic Cashinism.

"A little bit quiet? This place is like a wax museum. The figures are lifelike and nobody's moving. The biggest seller on Wall Street is No-Doze."
