When I saw the Euro starting to climb this morning, I bought some more LEAP calls on the XAU, and now I see gold is up $4.80.

Greenspan may really have his hands full before long.

Look for oil to head up, too, I think. And depending on how the members of OPEC feel, they think about setting their prices in Euros, at least to some extent.

There seems to be more than the usual activity in the Middle East.

One note on the article on the resturant attack : Sbarro resturants are pretty low end, and are found in lots of Food Courts in Malls all over North America.

Not exactly a power brokers resturant - not the equivalent of "21" or Spago's or The Four Seasons.

So this appears targeted at average people, who may have little or no influence on policy.

There is a phrase in diplomacy and history called "overtaken by events" Situations move beyond control of the initiators and the usual players.
