Language can indeed tilt the story. The Israelis have long complained about CNN's coverage, which has often said that one Israeli "died" in the West Bank (as if it were due to natural causes instead of a drive-by shooting), while soldiers of the IDF "shot" three Palestinians (without mentioning that those Palestinians had guns and were engaged in shooting at the IDF soldiers).
