what would be a most interesting statistic is the actual dollar amount of the transactions that Mr. Taylor disdains as public utility price gouging.

But that's not to say that the municipals did anything wrong. They had an obligation to local taxpayers to maximize their revenues.

The article was primarily airing out the stench of hypocrisy that has permeated the blatherings of politicians involved in playing the blame game in the CA energy affair.
