I highly recommend the movie/play A Man for All Seasons, especially the scene in which Sir Thomas asks whether we should cut down all the laws to go after the devil. Very pertinent to your argument.

The Supreme Court is the proper venue to consider whether the Court of Appeals should have followed the logic of their conclusions about Judge Jackson's ethical lapses and declared a mistrial. But I suppose when a defendant is "so guilty you can smell it" we shouldn't be worried about such minor points of legal procedure as requiring the presiding judge to observe canons of conduct designed to ensure impartiality.

Virtually all new PCs come pre-cluttered with any number of add-on packages that manufacturers see fit to bundle with the purchase either preloaded or in a package of CD-ROMs that ship with the box. And Internet-based distribution makes virtually any piece of software a mouse click away from the consumer. As such it's difficult to understand your point about "restrictions on computer makers that make it prohibitive to bundle" software, presuming there is a point to be understood amid the "hogtied and horsewhipped" rhetoric.

Allright guys, you've hear from the disgruntled AAPL reject, now for the truth.

"Judge Jackson for talking to reporters"
The DOJ spent a ton of money prosecuting MSFT & had MSFT by the balls, Jackson let them off by running his mouth, thus letting down his colleagues & the citizens of this country.

"judicial misconduct, but that's not the same as misjudging the case"
Yes it is, if Jackson is found to be incompetent as MSFT is claiming & what competent Judge would run his mouth in a case of this magnitude where precedents will be set. The DOJ should have found a computer literate judge to try the case in the first place.

"were you guys even paying attention to the antitrust trial?"
More so than the bearbot, whose only investment expertise is the Prudent Bear Fund. Many posters on this thread when the trail began were MSFT buyers from the upper 1980's.

"These guys are so guilty you can smell it from here!"
The only thing I smell is a rotten AAPL reject.

"Whining to the Supreme Court will accomplish nothing"
It will delay the judicial process which is good for any defendant.

"vastly predatory XP operating system"
How would you know unless it's loaded on your mac. scheesh

"software that their customers want, like QuickTime, Real, Java, AOL, Earthlink"
Who in the hell wants them? The Apple users?

"abusive software monopoly"
The monopoly came about by accident, rather than on purpose and is a "Natural Monopoly", thanks to Apple's mistakes in the early 1980's. Live with it, accept it. Not only will your computer be compatible with over 90% of the world's computers, you will be a better person.
