This goes without question. They have little choice because we know Mhz sells (TM McMannis). Just how they do this is a whole other story.
PR rating may not be as effective as little cardboard benchmarks on the top of computers or in ads, showcasing selected benchmarks vs P4. A lot of people know nothing when shopping for a computer. Well placed AMD reps in retail stores on week ends could do wonders. Most of the time I'm shopping best buy someone asks which computer to buy.
Major phone-in campaigns to major OEMs wouldn't hurt either.
I'm not sure TV adds are long enough for anything other than a jingle like Intel does.
